Title:
PRP 7 - Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) Construction
Start date:
01 May 2012
Licence Condition
Background/Objective 'PRP 3 - Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade', 'PRP 4 - Sustainable Irrigation', 'PRP 5 - Assessment of Native Vegetation', and 'PRP 6 - Irrigation System Installation' are components of a program to improve the sustainability of the Inghams Effluent Management system. On 21 February 2012 the licensee advised the EPA that discussions with Sydney Water Corporation (SWC) had identified a number of key steps to facilitate the connection of the Inghams Plant to the SWC sewerage system. The preferred connection point is 'Bronzewing Street' (SPS919). SWC have also advised Inghams the discharge volumes ranging from 230 kl/day to 450kl/day are acceptable. To meet SWC effluent limits for discharge to sewer, Inghams must first construct a Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) effluent treatment plant. The objective of this PRP is to construct a Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) and commence operations of the SBR Plant.
Methodology/Deliverables The licensee must complete the following steps, to construct, commission, operate and review performance of a new Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) plant at the Premises; Stage 1: Construct - Encompasses all phases of construction of the new plant, including design/detailed design, tendering, approvals, and construction. COMPLETION DATE: 31 October 2014. Stage 2: Commission - Commissioning of the new plant including all pre operational testing and sign off from contractors. Ensure plant is completed and fully operational, prior to connection to the existing water management system and prior to eventual connection to Picton STP. COMPLETION DATE: 28 November 2014. Stage 3: Operate - SBR is to be in full time operation. COMPLETION DATE: 28 November 2014. Stage 4: Post Commissioning Performance Review/Report - The licensee must provide a written report to the EPA that describes the findings of the SBR performance review. If the SBR does not achieve all performance standards, the report must provide a time frame to achieve the standards. COMPLETION DATE: 27 February 2015.
